The ISSCA Global Summit 2026 officially began in Cancún, Mexico.
The first day focused on advanced medical education and hands-on learning. It also featured the first certification programs of the three-day international experience.
On September 25, physicians gathered at the JW Marriott Cancún for two simultaneous pre-Summit programs. They included the Advanced Peptide Therapy Certification and the Advanced Regenerative Aesthetics Certification.
It marked the first chapter of a weekend bringing together physicians, researchers, educators and leaders in regenerative and integrative medicine from around the world.
Advanced Peptide Therapy opens the Global Summit
One of the opening programs was the Advanced Peptide Therapy Certification, led by Dr. Greg Jones, NMD, and Dr. Jason Pencek, DC, FNP, alongside ISSCA faculty. Throughout the day, participants explored the clinical foundations of peptide therapy and their applications across different areas of patient care.
The curriculum covered immunological and anti-inflammatory peptides, gut-immune signaling, and neuroendocrine applications. Physicians also explored metabolic health, GLP-1 therapies, and sexual and reproductive health. The program also included regenerative peptides such as BPC-157 and TB-500.
For physicians attending the certification, the experience also represented an opportunity to discuss cases directly with faculty, exchange perspectives with colleagues and explore the rapidly evolving role of peptides within regenerative medicine.
The day concluded with the presentation of official ISSCA certifications to participating physicians.
Regenerative Aesthetics takes the second room
At the same time, another group of physicians participated in the Advanced Regenerative Aesthetics Certification, led by Dr. Alfredo Hoyos and Dr. Cory S. Goldberg.
The program explored how regenerative medicine is becoming part of modern aesthetic practice. Sessions covered exosomes, biostimulation, facial rejuvenation, and regenerative approaches to androgenetic alopecia. The curriculum also included nanoneedling and the integration of regenerative factors with traditional aesthetic procedures.
Participants also explored strategies for developing personalized protocols involving exosomes and MSC-related applications, with an emphasis on clinical evaluation and responsible integration into aesthetic medicine.
Two certifications, one global medical community
Running both certifications simultaneously offered an early glimpse of the ISSCA Global Summit 2026 experience. Different medical specialties learned under the same roof. At the same time, they remained connected by a shared interest in regenerative medicine.
Between sessions, physicians from different countries had the opportunity to meet, exchange clinical experiences and build relationships with colleagues working across aesthetics, longevity, functional medicine, peptide therapy and other regenerative disciplines.
That international exchange will remain one of the central elements of the Global Summit throughout the weekend.
The Global Summit is only getting started
The ISSCA Global Summit 2026 continues September 26 and 27 with its main scientific conference, international faculty, keynote presentations, clinical discussions and additional specialized certification programs.
Saturday puts the Main Stage at the center of the Global Summit experience. An international lineup of speakers will join hundreds of healthcare professionals for a full day of presentations. Topics include regenerative medicine, longevity, metabolic health, peptides, cellular health, and other areas shaping modern clinical practice.
On Sunday, the scientific program continues alongside additional specialized certification tracks, expanding the educational experience into areas including musculoskeletal and sports regenerative medicine, MSCs and exosomes, and integrative longevity.
Across three days, Cancun becomes a meeting point for a global community of physicians looking to exchange knowledge, explore new clinical approaches and strengthen their understanding of the technologies and therapies influencing the future of regenerative medicine.
Day 1 delivered the first certifications. The next chapters of the ISSCA Global Summit 2026 are already underway.
